The first half of 2010 was an emotional rollercoaster for the Arabian Rescue Mission. We were finishing up a large herd rescue in the NE when we were called in on a larger herd rescue in Ohio. Click here for those details.
To date this year alone we have rescued, adopted and re-homed over 80 horses. 10 from our farm and 4 fosters, 36 in Ohio and another 15 nationally and even 18 internationally.
Rescue Success:
ALL JABAR LTD HORSES ARE SAFE!
Thank you to all who offered homes to keep Lynda's dream alive and to all those who helped place, move and house them.
We are closely monitoring herds in KY, NY, TN and VA and working with owners nationally on placing their horses.
To accomplish this, we need help. Money, supplies and housing!
Because of the time involved in each situation, this has put quite a damper on our improvement plans, so now we are trying to catch up and make some much-needed repairs and start on our expansion plans.
Our goals for the 2nd half of 2010 are:
As always, our Wish List below:
Blankets (sz 64-76), hay, tack, stable supplies and ground feeders, salt blocks and of course, TREATS!
In order to achieve our goals, we need your support. Funds, labor and supplies are all necessary to maintain and improve our facilities here in NJ.
We strive to always provide the absolute best care possible, but that care is expensive. Everyone is always extraordinarily generous when it comes to rescueing a horse, but it costs money to maintain that horse until it finds a permanent home.
The more horses housed, the more damage is done, the more repairs and expansion are necessary, a costly endeavour.
Please help, wherever you can!
. WE NEED YOU TO CONTINUE!

Because of the amount of herd rescues ARM is being called in on, we have started our national entity, The Arabian Horse Rescue Assn.
Thank you, Dean, for the website template. We are in the process of building it now.
Our new logo was designed by EquineArtist, Aislinn Brander, who is also helping Terry build the site. It incorporates the old logo's recognizability, while modernizing the beauty of the Arabian Horse.
Check out the new site, under construction at www.arabianhorserescue.org
We still need a CPA and volunteers to research 800#s, do some grant research and writing, make contacts in the industries needed to set up our Multi-Level funding system.
Our plans could be the trend-setter of all breed rescues and the start of a new phase in horse rescue.
Our National organization plans on having Regional Reps with an interactive website map, policy and procedure manuals available, low-cost euthanasia clinics, food banks, low-cost gelding programs and a transportation railroad, all under one umbrella.
We are looking for volunteers with experience in grants, website design, logo design, accounting, fundraising and organization!
If available please contact Terry! Thank You!
Together, we CAN make a difference, EveryDay!
Thanks to Aislinn Brander, Equine Artist for designing our new logo. The first draft is below. Let me know what you think, as it gets completed and please, visit our new website for the AHRA!
