While we have been busy rescueing horses, the press has been busy covering it.

Here are some of those articles. For the full Ohio story click HERE.

  • 31 horses rescued; 6 others euthanized near Oak Harbor

  • Animal Groups Continue Fight Over Rescued Horses

    02/11/10

The groups will have a telephone conference call this afternoon after Arabian Rescue Mission of New Jersey filed for an injunction in federal court, said Chris Marcinko, humane society attorney, during an Ottawa County Municipal Court hearing today.

  • Horse donations top $25K for humane society

    03/12/10

Of that money, the humane society spent $7,146 on a veterinary bill and $1,840.75 on attorney fees for Jeff Holland, who represented the society in U.S. District Court in Toledo during its fight with the Arabian Rescue Mission of New Jersey over who would take custody of the horses.

  • Sickly horses, in new homes, sickly no more

    03/18/10

Just last month, Rocky the Arabian stallion was a walking skeleton with a melancholy personality and little experience around people. Since he got here, he's probably put on 60 to 100 pounds.

  • Judge declares warrantless seizure legal!

  • Rescue mission upset with order to show horses to jury

    04/21/10

The Ottawa County prosecutor's office subpoenaed the people fostering 36 Arabian horses -- confiscated Jan. 29 from Robin Vess -- to bring the animals in trailers to the court's parking lot, where the jury can see them, Prosecutor Mark Mulligan said. Figueroa's organization has been raising money for legal fees so Figueroa could ask a judge to nullify the federal court agreement made with the humane society in February.

  • Rescuers relieved over pact with judge;

WELCOME!

Our facility is expanding. Look for the opening of  satellite farms.

The Arabian Rescue Midwest has applied for their IRS status. As of 7/1/10 they will be a separate entity and no longer a branch of ARM!

They have worked hard for this and deserve everything they get. Holly is terrific and does a great job.

We wish them the best for the future and hope you will continue to support them in their work.
